Practicum in Veterinary Medical Students: The practicum is designed to give students supervised practical application of knowledge and skills in the Veterinarian Medical Field. Practicum experiences occur in a Veterinarian Clinic under the supervision of a Licensed Veterinarian and their staff. To be prepared for careers in the Veterinarian field, students must acquire technical knowledge in the discipline as well as apply academic skills in mathematics and science. After completion of this course, students will be able to take the Texas Veterinarian Medical Association level 1 Certified Veterinarian Assistant test and become certified.
